Nakashima Foundation Honours Scholarship in Japanese Studies

The Nakashima Foundation, in conjunction with the School of Social and Cultural Studies, have established a Scholarship in order to encourage students to pursue an Honours program in Japanese Studies at this University. For detailed conditions for the scholarship, please click here.

Asian Studies would like to invite potential candidates to apply for this prestigious scholarship.

The value of the scholarship is $2,400.

Eligibility

Applicants must be accepted for enrolment in an Honours program within the discipline of Asian Studies in the School of Social and Cultural Studies at the University of Western Australia and obtain the approval of the Discipline Chair of Asian Studies for the proposed Honours project focussing on Japan.

Application Procedure

Application forms, available from Asian Studies, must be submitted to the Administrative Officer of Asian Studies by 28th February each year.

Completed application forms must be accompanied by:

  • an academic transcript showing results up to the time of application
  • a written statement of no more than 500 words describing the significance of the Honours project to the study of Japan.
